The resignation of Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh from the BJP has been accepted, and the Telangana BJP will write to the Speaker to disqualify him as a Member of the Legislative Assembly, party spokesperson N.V. Subash said.
“Raja Singh did not have the required support of 10 State Council members. He had only three supporting him, so he was not qualified for the
nomination. Now his resignation will be accepted, and we will write to the Speaker to disqualify him as a Member,” Subash stated.
On June 30, Raja Singh quit the BJP, expressing disappointment over reports that N Ramchander Rao would be appointed as the state BJP president. On July 1, Rao was officially appointed as the new president of the Telangana unit of the BJP.
