Telangana State crossed significant milestone of administering 4 crore vaccine doses in its fight against COVID-19 yesterday. About 2 crore 70 lakh people have received their first dose of vaccine while one crore 40 lakh people have received both doses across the state. 

The State health authorities revealed this yesterday when the total vaccinations in the state crossed the mark of 4 crore doses. It may be recalled that the state health authorities have been making all out efforts to reach 100 per cent vaccination in the state by the end of this month. 

According to



the authorities there are about 18 lakh people who are yet to receive at least one dose vaccine and about 23 lakh people who received one dose and exceeding the due date for their second jab. 

State Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar has tweeted that the state achieved the feat on Thursday stating that 94 per cent of eligible citizens got the first dose, and 50 per cent of the citizens are covered with the second dose. He also congratulated ASHAs, ANMs, Medical Officers and all the health officials, who worked tirelessly for this achievement.
