Telangana: 3 Bills passed in Council

Three Bills, including Telangana Civil Courts (Amendment), Telangana Municipalities Bill, 2019, and Telangana Appropriation Bill, were unanimously passed in the Council here on Sunday.

During the debate on Telangana Appropriation Bill, Finance Minister T Harish Rao said the State’s borrowings were



well within the guidelines of the Finance Commission. The total borrowings of Telangana were 20.04 per cent of the GSDP against the permissible 25 per cent limit. But in some States such as Punjab, the debt was at 42 per cent of its GSDP, he said, adding Gujarat’s debt was 21 per cent.
