Teenager accidentally electrocuted in Hayathnagar collapsed and died on the spot

A teenager was electrocuted after he came in contact with a live electric wire in an attempt to pick up his slipper which had fallen on a rooftop in Hayathnagar on Thursday. The victim was identified as K Rahul (19), from Shanthi Nagar in Hayathnagar.

Police said one of Rahul’s slippers had fallen on the asbestos

Using an aluminum rod, he was trying to retrieve it, when the rod accidentally came in contact with an electric wire passing in front of the house. “He suffered a severe electric shock and collapsed on the spot and died. His family members tried to rescue him, but it was too late by then,” the police said.
