Hyderabad : Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) Secretary B. Ashok on Monday informed that all the junior colleges and composite degree colleges offering intermediate courses in the State would be closed for summer vacation for the academic year 2016-17 during the period from March 29 to May 31. The colleges will re-open after summer vacation on June 1 for the academic year 2017-18.

In view of the above, the TSBIE has asked the college managements to adhere to the above schedule strictly. Further, all the Principals and



Managements of Government, Aided and Private un-aided Junior Colleges in the state have been instructed not to conduct any classes during the summer vacation.

The managements of private un-aided junior colleges have been asked to stop the illicit practices, such as running the classes during the summer vacations and making the admissions prior to release of admission schedule by the TSBIE. Violation of instructions will be viewed seriously and action will be initiated against the erring Managements / Principals, the BIE Secretary said.
