The Telangana government has officially declared summer holidays for schools across the state, providing students with a 48-day break from April 24 to June 11, 2026.

According to the announcement, schools will reopen for the 2026–27 academic year on June 12, 2026.

Officials noted that institutions may conduct weekly additional classes if required to ensure the timely completion of the academic

syllabus.

Earlier in February, the Education Department directed both government and private schools to adopt a single half-day schedule, running from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., to help students avoid the peak summer heat.

The extended vacation is expected to bring relief to students and teachers alike, while also giving schools flexibility to balance academic requirements with the challenges of the season.
