Sujana’s son caught during special drive against car racing

Sai Karthik, son of union Minister of State for Science & Technology Y.S. Chowdary, was caught on Friday midnight by Hyderabad Traffic police for rash driving and seized his Porsche car.

Police set up a checkpost at Kasu Brahmananda Reddi Park at Banjara Hills on Friday night and conducted a special drive to trap those indulging in car racing.

            During a special road-safety drive, Karthik was found driving the vehicle in a “rash” manner between Jubilee Hills Checkpost and the KBR Park gate. Banjara Hills Traffic Police inspector N Vidya Sagar said they caught the Union minister’s son along with some other motorists. A case was booked on charge of rash driving against Karthik under Section 184 (B) of MV Act and the Porsche car was seized, the Traffic CI  said. However, Karthik was not arrested and a fine may be imposed against him for rash driving.
