Sub-Inspector Held in Warangal 'Online Harassment'

The Warangal police arrested a Sub-Inspector (SI) K Srikanth for developing friendship with women through social media and harassing them. 

Subedari Police Station Inspector M. Ranjith Kumar stated that Srikanth, a native of Rajanna Sircilla district, was found to be befriending women through social media, gaining their trust, sexually harassing them, forcing them into sexual relations, and threatening them.

A married man, he served as a Sub-Inspector from the 2014 batch at



various police stations. The investigation revealed that he habitually searched for women's profiles on social media, sent them friend requests, built relationships with them, and then mentally and physically harassed them, the Inspector said. 

According to him, in 2025, the accused became acquainted with a woman through Facebook. Convincing her that he was a police officer, he developed a close relationship with her. It was alleged that he went to her residence in Warangal, and forcibly sexually assaulted her.
