Students, unemployed youths detained in Hyderabad over NEET paper leak protests

Unemployed youths and student leaders staging protests in support of the statewide bandh were detained at different locations in the city on Friday, as demonstrations over recruitment issues and the NEET paper leak gathered momentum.

In Dilsukhnagar, Saroornagar and Secunderabad police detained unemployed student leaders who attempted to hold a protest in support of the bandh and demanded resolution of pending issues affecting job



aspirants.

The protesters were taken into custody and shifted to the nearby police station, leading to tense moments in the area.

Meanwhile, at Osmania University, student organisations staged a protest near the NCC Gate, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET question paper leak. The protesters alleged that the leak had jeopardised the future of thousands of students and raised slogans against the Central government.
