Senior IPS officer M.Stephen Raveendra assumed charge as Cyberabad Police Commissioner on Wednesday.

Raveendra took over from VC Sajjanar, who has been posted as Managing Director of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation.

An IPS officer of the 1999 batch, Raveendra earlier served as Inspector General



of Police, Hyderabad Range, DCP West Zone, and was DIG in the special elite special forces Grey Hound. A product of the Osmania University, Raveendra, the son of MB Ranjit, a former DSP, did his schooling from St.Paul’s High School and graduated from Little Flower Junior College and Nizam College, all in Hyderabad.
