Dressed in civil clothes, carrying exam pad, pen and other stationery material, students appeared for the SSC Public Examinations 2026 that commenced with the first language at 2,676 centres set up across the State
The three-hour exam that began at 9.30 am would conclude at 12.30 pm.
Students who reached early were allowed inside the centres from 8.30 am. Like last year,
the School Education department has extended the five grace minutes to enter the centres, with the last entry at 9.35 am.
A total of 5,28,239 students, with 2,67,954 boys and 2,60,285 girls, registered for the exams, which will conclude on April 16.
As many as 144 flying squads have been deployed to oversee smooth conduct of exams besides curbing malpractices.
