Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu on Saturday inaugurated India’s first CMP Pad Technologies Hub at T-Works in Hyderabad, marking a significant step in strengthening the state’s semiconductor ecosystem. 

The state-of-the-art facility has been established in partnership with Japan-based Toho Koki Seisakusho Co Ltd and aims to support research, innovation, skill development, startups and MSMEs. 

It



will also pave the way for indigenous manufacturing of CMP pads, a critical component used in semiconductor chip production.

The launch event was attended by key industry representatives, including Takuya Nishimura of Toho Koki, Swastik Kulkarni from JETRO Bengaluru, Daisuke Tanji of IndoBox, Shigemaro Yasui from the Japan India Business Bureau, Anudeep Durishetty, Joint Secretary in the IT Department, and Joginder Tanikella, CEO of T-Works.
