Speeding Jeep Crashes into Tree in Nanded, 3 killed and 7 Injured

Three people were killed and seven others were seriously injured after a speeding jeep crashed into a roadside tree in Maharashtra's Nanded district, police said on Tuesday. 

The accident occurred at the Totamba forest ghat in Kinwat tehsil around 6 pm on Monday, they said. According to the police, the victims, all residents of Pardi village in Nirmal district of neighbouring Telangana, had travelled to a waterfall and visited a temple in



Nanded.

They were returning home when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and crash into a large roadside tree with considerable force, an official said. 

The deceased have been identified as Tum Sailu (60), Tum Gourabai (60) and Awala Gangadhar (55), he said. The impact was so severe that the jeep was completely mangled. Locals helped rescue passengers trapped inside the vehicle.
