Speed up anti-larva operations, says GHMC commissioner

GHMC commissioner, R V Karnan on Monday directed the officials to intensify the anti-larva operations (ALO) across the city.

He also said that the entomologists are attending other official duties than their original duties of ALOs.

They should



attend their original duties allotted by the GHMC.

Commissioner directed the officials to draw plans to remove water hyacinths in the water bodies, which causes water borne and vector diseases. “The sanitation drive should continue for few more weeks,” said Karnan.
