South Zone Police have once again focused on youths/youngsters and minors, who are roaming/wandering on the streets of old city after 11 pm without any purposeful/meaningful reasons/cause and their future leading in danger and becoming victims of criminals.

These youngsters are also not showing/concentrating much interest on studies. Therefore, in order to prevent them from such activities leading towards bad habits and to control unlawful activities, the South Zone Police conducted “Operation Chabutra” on the intervening night of February 22 and 23 between 11 pm and 3 am by forming 10 teams. The teams have intercepted some 153 youths,  including five minors in the entire South Zone for roaming on the streets and  sitting at chabutras of old city without any purpose and causing disturbance to common public and  wedged 153 youngsters for counselling.

            In order to create a sense about the current doing and wrong activities of the youth, parents were called to SANJARI Function Hall and conducted counselling.  All the parents had agreed that they are at fault and failed to supervise their children and assured the police to keep their children in a disciplined manner and would not allow them to cause any disturbance to the common public.

            Police have pointed out that Nabil Murder had occurred in the street fight due to the negligence and lack of supervision of their parents. Past incidents of stabbing, stone-pelting, eve-teasing and love affairs were briefed to the parents. Both the youths and their parents have been educated about Crime and consequences, how their reckless attitude would spoil their career and how they would become enemy to the society? How they become a threat to public safety? The police left the youth after binding over to their respective



parents.

            Speaking to the media, V. Satyanarayana, IPS,  Dy Commissioner of Police, South Zone, said in order to make the old city peaceful and to create a sense of security in the minds of common public particularly girls and ladies, “We are not hesitating to book their parents if minors indulge in grave crimes and intentional overlooking of the activities such as rash and negligent motorcycle driving without valid driving licence by their children.

            Further, he DCP said three months i.e., February, March and April are crucial months for the students. All school examinations, SSC examinations, Intermediate Examination, Graduate / Post Graduate examinations will be held for the students in these months. Besides this, the Government of Telangana State, Public Service Commission have issued notifications for various jobs in various categories. The aspirants in expectation of Govt. Jobs are also preparing to get through the examinations to be conducted by the TSPSC. Telangana State Police Board also issued a notification for filling a large number of vacant posts in Police Department.

            Telangana State Govt is giving free coaching to the youths of Old City for selection as Police Constable and conducting free coaching to the 10th Class dropouts.      Music/sound systems will not be allowed in any function Hall after 10.30 pm here after; as it will be a hindrance/disturbance to the students, who are preparing for academic and competitive examinations. The Hyderabad City Police is taking keen initiatives to improve the life style of the youths of Old City. The DCP has requested the people to utilize the opportunities being provided by the State Government instead of wasting  time by roaming on streets late nights without any purposeful reason.
