South Central Railway (SCR) has reviewed crowd-management plans at major railway stations ahead of the Dasara, Diwali and Chhath festival rush, besides assessing the safety of train operations across the zone.
General manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, who chaired the review meeting, directed officials and supervisors to remain vigilant and ensure effective implementation of crowd-control measures at major
stations during the festive season.
He stressed the need to ensure smooth passenger movement across station premises, platforms and entry and exit points, and asked the security department and field supervisors to take preventive steps to avoid overcrowding. Srivastava also advised the deployment of dedicated ground teams comprising Travelling Ticket Examiners and Railway Protection Force personnel at major stations.
