Doctors at Medicover Cancer Institute, Hitec City, have successfully treated a 31-year-old male patient from Somalia who was diagnosed with a large and complex brain arteriovenous malformation (AVM) using advanced stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), a press release here on Wednesday



said.

The patient had been experiencing recurrent headaches and seizures for nearly a year. An MRI revealed a 5.5 cm AVM located in the left temporo-parietal region, an area where open surgery carries significant risk to speech, memory and motor functions.
