Sleeper bus plunges into bushes on Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway, passengers safe

Thirty passengers had a narrow escape when a private travel bus veered off the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway and plunged into bushes near Borralagudem Stage in Choutuppal mandal of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district in the early hours of Sunday.

The incident occurred when the Prem Travels sleeper bus, carrying around 30 passengers, was heading from Hyderabad towards Vijayawada. The driver



reportedly lost control of the vehicle, following which it rammed into roadside bushes.

All the passengers escaped unhurt, though the bus was damaged in the incident. Police reached the spot and launched an inquiry.

Preliminary information suggested that the driver might have dozed off at the wheel, resulting in the accident.
