Around 60 persons who were violating lockdown guidelines were detained and counseled by the Falaknuma police on Monday night.

S Devender, SHO (Falaknuma) said the police had conducted an ‘Operation Chabutra’ in Teegalkunta and surrounding areas in the Falaknuma police station limits on Monday night.

“Sixty youngsters were picked up by the police who patrolled the streets on foot as part of ‘Operation Chabutra’. The exercise was taken up in view of the rise in number of

bodily offences and late night nuisance in colonies during the lockdown,” he said.

DCP (South) Gajarao Bhupal later interacted with the youth at a function hall and asked them to focus on building their careers instead of wasting time on the streets in the night.

“More such exercises will be taken up in the near future. Parents should guide their children and ensure they do not loiter around on streets during the lockdown,” he said.
