Six ​persons held for ​determining sex of foetus

Hyderabad: A gang, involving five Registered Medical Practitioners and one woman, were arrested ​​on charges of determining the gender of the foetus by establishing a scan centre in Yacharam on Friday.

According to the police, the prime suspect, N Kumar Swamy, an RMP, conspired to earn easy money by



scanning the foetus and determin​ing​ the sex before delivery.

“They were booked under Pre​-​Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act-2014. The gang consists of eight persons and of them, six were arrested,” said M Venkateshwar Rao, Deputy Commissioner of Police, LB Nagar.
