The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls appears to be running behind schedule in Jubilee Hills assembly constituency with delays in the supply of enumeration forms. This delay has affected the pace of work linked to the distribution and collection of the forms in the constituency.

On Friday, bundles of enumeration forms and stickers meant for pasting on electors’ doors after completion of the enumeration process were found lying on tables at a GHMC ward office in Borabanda.

The Booth Level Officers (BLOs) here started to arrive only after half the day had passed. A BLO

supervisor said, “Enumeration forms were supposed to reach the office on Thursday, when the SIR process began, but their supply was delayed by a day.”

As the forms were delayed, BLOs are yet to get into the field. Today, they were busy reaching the office and collecting the forms.

A BLO said they had received enumeration forms today only and that too after half a day had passed. “Today being Muharram some sections of voters will be engaged and will have to start tomorrow only,” said an official. According to the BLOs, Saturday and Sunday were crucial, as most employees would be available at home.
