Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Vem Narender Reddy, both from Congress, took oath as Rajya Sabha MPs on Thursday, representing Telangana, along with several other newly elected members. 

Among those sworn in was BJP national president Nitin Nabin, who took the oath in Hindi amid the thumping of desks. Chairman C. P. Radhakrishnan congratulated him and the other MPs. 

The newly elected members represent Assam, Bihar, Haryana,



Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha and Maharashtra. From Assam, Terash Gowalla, Jogen Mohan and Pramod Boro took oath. From Bihar, those sworn in include Nitin Nabin, Upendra Kushwaha, Ram Nath Thakur and Shivesh Kumar. Laxmi Verma and Phulo Devi Netam represent Chhattisgarh, while Karamvir Singh Boudh and Sanjay Bhatia are from Haryana. From Himachal Pradesh, Anurag Sharma took oath. Others include Vinod Shridhar Tawde (Maharashtra) and Sujeet Kumar (Odisha).
