Officials have identified the bodies of 13 persons based on DNA reports received from the Central Forensic Sciences Laboratory (CFSL). The reports reached the government hospital in Patancheru on Thursday.

Officials had retrieved the bodies of 38 persons from the blast site, of which 18 had been identified by Wednesday. Blood samples from relatives of the untraceable victims were collected and sent to CFSL to identify the remaining bodies. With more DNA

reports expected on Friday, officials expressed hope that the rest of the bodies would also be identified soon.

Meanwhile, the identification process turned tragic for Puja Paswan (23), who lost her husband Naga Paswan, paternal uncle Deepak (50), and cousin Dileep (20) in the incident. The DNA reports of her family members helped confirm the identities of Naga, Deepak, and Dileep on Thursday. The family planned to take the bodies to Sasara in Bihar on Thursday night.
