SI injured as car drags him during drunk driving check in Yacharam

A sub-inspector of police suffered injuries when a car hit him and dragged him away during a drunk driving checking at Yacharam in Ranga Reddy district on Sunday evening.

The sub-inspector, Madhu, was performing drunk driving checks on Yacharam road when a car came at a high speed and hit him. Due to the impact, the sub-inspector fell



on the bonnet of the car, and the driver, without stopping, drove for around 500 metres before being stopped by locals.

Three bikers were also injured when the car driver tried to speed away before hitting the sub-inspector. The police took the driver into custody, while the sub-inspector was shifted to a hospital in Mall Gram panchayat.
