SI detained after seized gold, service weapon go missing in Amberpet

In a dramatic turn of events, Amberpet Sub-Inspector Bhanu Prasad was reportedly detained allegedly after recovery gold kept in official custody and his service weapon went missing.

As per available information, the issue surfaced when the SI allegedly failed



to account for the seized gold and his duty firearm.

The Amberpet Police registered a case and detained the SI for questioning. The Task Force has also joined the probe, and officials suspect crucial details to emerge as the officer’s questioning continues.
