The SHE teams in the month of January received 216 complaints through various modes including social media and hawk eye mobile based application.

According to Shikha Goel, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crimes and SIT) and in-charge of SHE Teams, cases under provisions of the Indian Penal Code were registered against eight persons while 12 were booked under the Hyderabad City Police Act. Twenty persons who were caught were counselled and let off with a



warning.

The Cyberabad SHE teams also received 139 complaints in January, based on which 57 cases were booked. Of them, 19 were criminal cases. A total of 129 decoy operations were conducted at various places such as bus stops, shopping malls, Railway Stations, tutorials and colleges. 

Forty-three awareness programmes were conducted and 16,320 people were addressed. The police conducted counselling session for 72 persons.
