SHE Teams nabs 49 persons for stalking, assaulting and harassing women in April

The Hyderabad She teams during the month of April caught 49 persons in the city for allegedly harassing, stalking and sexually assaulting women.

Among those caught was a GHMC driver, who was making inappropriate gestures at women who came to dispose of garbage . The women made a complaint to the She teams who conducted a decoy operation and caught him red handed. He was produced before the court. The court sentenced him to three days of simple imprisonment.

In a separate case, the police caught a plumber from Begumpet, who had secretly recorded a video of the woman while she was celebrating an occasion with her office colleagues. The next day



the man trespassed into the woman and demanded sexual favors. On a complaint, the She teams caught the man and produced him before court. He was convicted and sentenced to four day simple imprisonment.

In another case a man who works at a private company and was blackmailing a woman was caught and sentenced to three day jail term. The man had befriended the woman and took her to a lodge where he sexually assaulted the woman and recorded the act using a secret camera. The suspect later blackmailed the woman and threatened her to pay Rs. 1 lakh, and demanded she meet him whenever he made a phone call. On a complaint the She team caught him and produced before the court.
