SHE Teams Nab 678 Harassers during Bonalu in Hyderabad

The SHE Teams of the Women Safety Wing implemented extensive security and surveillance measures during the Bonalu festival-2026 to ensure the safety, security, and dignity of women and children attending the festivities across Hyderabad. 

Considering the large congregations at temples, procession routes, bus stops, metro stations, marketplaces, and other crowded locations, SHE Teams intensified deployment in



vulnerable areas through plain-clothes surveillance, video monitoring, and immediate intervention against offenders.

The SHE Teams received 122 complaints under various categories during the festival bandobust. A total of 678 persons involved in harassment, eve-teasing, stalking, inappropriate behavior, and other acts of misconduct against women were caught red-handed, supported by videographic evidence in several instances.
