She Teams nab 127 for harassing women in June

The Hyderabad She Teams have nabbed a total of 127 persons for allegedly harassing women in public places in the month of June and secured convictions in 14 cases.

The Women Safety Wing received 102 complaints during the month, and six persons were caught during special surveillance drives for harassing women in public



places.

Further, courts also sentenced six offenders to three days’ simple imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 each. Two transgender persons were also convicted in petty cases and fined Rs 1,050 each.

Police urged women facing harassment to contact She Teams or dial 112 for immediate assistance.
