SFI activists tried to storm the house of Ponnam Prabhakar in Karimnagar

Activists of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) attempted to storm the residence of Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar at Mankammathota here on Wednesday, protesting against the state government’s delay in releasing fee reimbursement funds.

However, police had already set up barricades and managed to foil the attempt, preventing the agitators from entering the premises. The activists were later taken into custody and shifted to the police station.

Speaking at the protest site, SFI members said that despite students suffering due to the non-release of fee reimbursement amounts, the government and ministers remained indifferent.
