A police team in plainclothes arrived at his residence in Journalists’ Colony in the early hours and informed him of the arrest. At the time, Rao questioned the officials, demanding a valid reason or evidence, and alleged that it was a foisted case by the
government.
He was then taken to Andhra Pradesh for further legal proceedings.
