A seminar to contemplate on “Leveraging Defence Expenditure as a Tool for Nation Building” is being organised at College of Defence Management (CDM) in Secunderabad for two days from January 5.
The inaugural address will be delivered by Union Minister of State for Defence, Subhash R Bhamre and the Key Note Address will be delivered by Lieutenant General SK Dua, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, according to a Defence release.
Eminent speakers from various fields of expertise ranging from Apex Political and Military Leadership, Defence Procurement, Foreign Policy, Economy, Defence Industry and various Defence Think Tanks will engage in the discussion for the two days.The valedictory function which will be held on January 6 would be graced by Governor of



Mizoram Lieutenant General (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma.
The annual seminar at CDM is a prestigious annual event for discussion on contemporary strategic issues by experts, leading thinkers and senior Military officials. This year, the College of Defence Management is focusing on the contribution of Defence Expenditure towards Nation Building.
The CDM, Secunderabad – a premier Defence institution imparting management training to officers of the Defence Services, is laying emphasis on realistically examining the relevant constructs of the Central Government’s fiscal responsibility towards citizens specifically in the context of India’s changing geostrategic realities and growing social aspirations, in the annual seminar this year, the release added.
