The redevelopment of Secunderabad Railway Station, one of the busiest and most historic stations in South Central Railway (SCR), is progressing swiftly, with almost 50 per cent works being completed and expected to be ready by next year.
The redevelopment works are taken up under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, aimed at transforming it
into a world-class transit hub with modern passenger amenities and improved connectivity.
The ambitious project, taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 714.73 crore, has achieved nearly 50 per cent completion so far. The works are being executed by Girdharilal Construction Private Limited, with the target set for completion by the end of 2026.
