SCR increases platform ticket rate

Anticipating a huge crowd of rail travelers as well as accompanying non-travelers at Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Lingampalli and Begumpet and other major railway stations in the city during the Sankranti season, South Central Railway has announced a temporary increase in the platform ticket rate.

In order to regulate the flow of public to enter onto the platforms and to avoid inconvenience to the bonafide passengers and precautionary measure against spread of



coronavirus during the ensuing festive season, the revised rates will be implemented up to January 20.

Accordingly, the platform ticket fare will be hiked from Rs 10 to Rs 50 at Secunderabad station while it is hiked to Rs 20 at the stations of Hyderabad, Warangal, Khammam, Lingampalli, Kazipet, Mahbubabad, Ramagundam, Manchiryal, Bhadrachalam Road, Vikarabad, Tandur, Bidar, Parli Vaijnath and Begumpet, a press release said.
