The South Central Railway (SCR) has extended the run of special trains to manage the heavy passenger rush during the summer season across key routes.
As per the announcement, the following train services have been extended:
Train No. 06557 (SMVT Bengaluru – Santragachi) will run on Fridays from April 10 to April 24 (3 services).
Train No. 06558 (Santragachi – Bengaluru Cantt.) will run on Sundays from April 12 to April 26 (3 services).
Train No. 06207 (Bengaluru Cantt. – Kalaburagi) will run on Saturdays from April 11 to April 25 (3
services).
Train No. 06208 (Kalaburagi – Bengaluru Cantt.) will run on Sundays from April 12 to April 26 (3 services).
Train No. 06539 (SMVT Bengaluru – Bidar) will operate on Fridays and Sundays from April 10 to April 12 and April 17 to April 26 (6 services).
Train No. 06540 (Bidar – SMVT Bengaluru) will run on Saturdays and Mondays from April 11 to April 13 and April 18 to April 27 (6 services).
Railway officials said the extension is aimed at easing travel demand during peak summer and providing additional connectivity between major destinations.
