Hyderabad police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, who is heading the Special Investigation Team into the phone-tapping cases, on Friday issued a notice seeking proof from BRS leader and former IPS officer R.S. Praveen Kumar with regard to allegations that he had levelled earlier in the day.

Praveen Kumar had alleged that the SIT chief faced seven criminal

cases. Sajjanar asked him to furnish complete and specific details of the alleged criminal cases purportedly registered against the SIT chief within two days from the date of receipt of the notice.

In case of failure to do so, Sajjanar said, appropriate civil and criminal proceedings would be initiated against Kumar in accordance with the law.
