Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday said that strengthening the agriculture sector in the State is the primary objective of the Congress People's government.
After inspecting the arrangements for the "Rythu Ashirvada Sabha" to be held at Jagannadhapuram–Mathkepalli crossroad in Chinthakani Mandal, he addressed a media conference at the Lachagudem Rythu Vedika.
He said that the government's objective is to make agriculture a festival by extending investment support to the
farming community, which serves as the backbone of the State's economy.
He said that the "Rythu Ashirvada Sabha" to be held tomorrow at Jagannadhapuram in Chinthakani Mandal of Khammam district would bring a festive atmosphere to the farming community of the State.
He announced that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, along with Cabinet colleagues, would participate in the programme and release the final instalment of Rs.1,009 crore under the Rythu Bharosa Scheme directly into the bank accounts of farmers.
