The Adilabad police seized 385 ganja plants worth around Rs.38.5 lakh from agricultural fields on the outskirts of Potam Loddi village, District Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan said.

Acting on credible information about illegal ganja cultivation, police conducted raids in the village and seized the plants in two separate incidents.

In the first case, the police found 315 ganja plants in the agricultural field of Mesram

Gangaram Patel, estimated to be worth Rs.31.5 lakh. An agriculture extension officer examined the plants and confirmed that they were ganja.

In another field, the police found 70 ganja plants allegedly being cultivated by Mesram Nagu, with an estimated value of Rs.7 lakh.
