Finance Minister T Harish Rao has said that Chandrashekhar Rao was the only Chief Minister in the country, who was supporting the farmers. Besides abolishing tax on water and lands, the government in fact was paying money to farmers to improve confidence among the farming community.

Transformers and agriculture pump sets used to burn frequently during the period of Congress, and TDP governments. However, the situation has changed after the formation of Telangana state. Round the clock quality power was being supplied to the agriculture sector, the Minister said after laying a foundation stone for Yadava Bhavan in Dammakkapet of Huzurabad mandal on Wednesday.

Before construction of Kaleshwaram project, farmers used to stage dharnas demanding the governments to release water into canals. Now, the water is made available in canals throughout the year. Surprisingly, a situation has risen where farmers ask the government not to release water. Notwithstanding seasons, water was being supplied for two crops, he said.

Besides waiving farm loans below Rs 25,000, Rythu Bandhu was also provided to farmers despite pandemic. He said the Govenment would waive farm loans upto Rs 50,000 in the coming days and added that loans up to Rs 1 lakh could be waived next year. Besides Rs 1,000 crore to provide medicines and oxygen, Rs 2,500 crore was spent to supply rice and pulses to people during the period of corona pandemic.

Talking about non completion of double bedroom houses in Huzurabad, Harish Rao observed that houses were not completed due to negligence of BJP leader Eatala Rajender. The Chief Minister has empowered each minister to sanction 4,000 houses. While Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has constructed 5,000 houses, Srinivas Goud completed 3,300. “I also completed 3,600 houses. The neighboring Warangal rural MLA Challa Dharma

Reddy also completed 850 houses”, he pointed out.

Rajender was the only minister, who had not completed houses, he alleged and assured to construct houses to all the eligible poor of Huzurabad.

People should think what would Rajender, who failed to complete a single house while continuing in the Minister post, do as an opposition MLA. Where was the need for Rajender to distribute wall clocks and sewing machines if he developed constituency in seven years, he questioned.

Do people want the benefit of a person or the entire Huzurabad? People should also decide whether they want to exercise votes to tickly (vermilion) pockets or Rs 2,016 Aasara pension, Rs 60 worth wall clocks or KCR kit, sewing machines or Kalyanalaxmi, vermilion boxes or Rythu Bandhu, and mobile phones or Rythu Bima.

Voters should think about which would bring change in their lives, he advised.

When the Telangana government constructed the Kaleshwaram project, the Union government led by BJP was privatizing BSNL, Railways, ports and other public sector undertakings. Central government was trying to abolish the reservation system introduced by Ambedkar by privatizing BSNL and other PSUs.

While Chandrashekhar Rao was giving Rs 10,000 to farmers under Rythu Bandhu, the union government was imposing a burden on Rythus by increasing the charges of petrol, and diesel. Besides increasing the price to Rs 950, Subsidy has been reduced to Rs 40 from Rs 250. The Finance Minister promised to establish a new sub-station by spending Rs 1.50 crore to overcome low voltage problems in Huzurabad. Bornapalli road repair works would also be taken up with Rs 3 crore, he informed and assured to sanction Rs 1.70 crore to lay road and construct a bridge in Narsingapur.
