Roads cut off as heavy rains lash Medak, Sangareddy

Several roads were cut off across Medak and Sangareddy districts as streams overflowed at low-level bridges on Tuesday night. In many areas, roads were washed away as streams swelled to full capacity.

Meanwhile, Singur reservoir received inflows of 40,000 cusecs from upstream around midnight. Irrigation authorities released 22,500 cusecs downstream by lifting two crest gates in addition to operating the power plant.
