The IndiGo flight carrying Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was diverted to Bengaluru on Friday night as the airport authorities refused permission for landing at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport due to inclement weather conditions.
The IndiGo flight from New Delhi to Hyderabad was to land at 9.15 p.m even as heavy rains lashed the State
capital on Friday night. It was not immediately known whether Revanth Reddy will take a late-night flight to Hyderabad or spend the night in Bengaluru.
Heavy rains accompanied by thunder and lightning lashed Hyderabad, leading to traffic snarls and waterlogging on several roads. Authorities were attempting to clear vehicles stranded on the roads.
