Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday directed officials to adopt a long-term, urban-centric development strategy for the proposed Mega Growth Corridor spanning the erstwhile districts of Karimnagar, Warangal, and Khammam, describing it as critical to the State?s economic growth.

Chairing a review meeting at MCRHRD Institute, Revanth Reddy said the proposed airport at Mamunuru would transform the region, and announced that the proposed Adilabad airport would be managed by the Defence Ministry.

He directed officials to develop Outer Ring Roads for the Khammam, Warangal, and Karimnagar municipal corporations and prepare comprehensive plans for sewage treatment plants, underground drainage systems, and solid waste management facilities using advanced technology. He stressed that all infrastructure should be designed to meet requirements for the next 25

He also sought expert inputs on AI-based traffic management and urban planning. Officials were directed to frame regulations mandating the use of treated water for construction activities.

Revanth Reddy suggested development of thematic corridors including a Temple Corridor linking Nalgonda and Yadagirigutta, a Tourism Corridor connecting Adilabad, Nagoba, Basara, and Kadem Project, and additional corridors of Mahabubnagar-Bhoothpur-Jadcherla, and Kothagudem-Paloncha-Sujathanagar.
