Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s absence from the meeting convened by AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan on Monday raised several eyebrows in Gandhi Bhavan.

The AICC in-charge, along with TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, held a meeting with senior party leaders at Hotel Haritha Plaza to review preparations for the Jubilee Hills by-election.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Vivek Venkatswamy, Adluri Laxman Kumar, and Government Advisor Vem Narender Reddy were among those who

attended.

The Chief Minister’s absence, however, sparked speculation within the party. While some senior leaders downplayed it as a meeting meant for Jubilee Hills in-charges, others questioned why the Chief Minister chose to skip the session, especially when almost the entire Cabinet was present.

Interestingly, the Chief Minister directed Civil Supplies Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao to conduct a video conference with district Collectors later in the evening on the heavy rain forecast and related matters.
