Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed all departments to remain on high alert in view of heavy rains across Telangana, including Hyderabad. He stressed that round-the-clock monitoring and timely action are essential to ensure public safety during the rains.

Revanth Reddy asked TG Transco staff to take strict precautions near Ganesh Mandaps to prevent accidents from electric poles and transformers. He called for close coordination among GHMC, police, fire services and SDRF to ensure smooth relief operations.

Traffic movement has been prohibited on



causeways and culverts due to heavy water flow. He instructed officials to evacuate people living in dilapidated houses and low-lying areas, and move them to safer locations.

The Chief Minister also directed irrigation officials to take precautionary measures and prevent breaches of tanks and other water bodies, while sanitation staff in municipalities and panchayats have been asked to clear stagnant water to avoid the risk of epidemics.

Health department teams have been instructed to stock adequate medicines and conduct medical camps wherever required.
