Former Minister T Harish Rao on Monday said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was jittery of campaigning in the erstwhile Medak district as he had no hope of winning a single municipality there.

Addressing an election campaign meeting in Dubbak municipality, he said the Chief Minister also feared taking him on in Medak. Pointing out that Revanth Reddy toured neighbouring districts such as Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Warangal, Harish Rao said he had deliberately refrained from campaigning in Medak despite repeated requests from Congress leaders. This was because

of his fear that voters would question him over unfulfilled promises.

The former minister recalled that Revanth Reddy had made several promises during the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections at the Komuravelly and Edupayala temples, but the Congress government had failed to honour them even two years after coming to power. The civic body elections were crucial for the people rather than for the Congress or the BRS, asserting that a defeat in the municipal polls would force the Chief Minister to fulfil the promises he had made.BRS party merchandise
