Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy continued his vitriolic attack on the BRS and its leaders, despite mounting public criticism over his unbridled outbursts and use of foul language. Speaking at a public meeting amid the municipal election campaign, Revanth Reddy also focused on his theory of the BRS and the BJP having an ‘unholy alliance’ to undermine the Congress.
Continuing his tirade, Revanth Reddy charged that Union Minister G Kishan Reddy was shielding BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao from action in the alleged Kaleshwaram irregularities and party working president KT Rama Rao in the Formula E race case. The Chief Minister used language that bordered on obscenity in his outbursts.
He criticised the BJP MPs from Telangana for failing to secure
adequate funds and projects for the State in the Union Budget. Referring to Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind, he alleged that despite repeatedly invoking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name, the MP had failed to ensure Nizamabad’s inclusion in the Smart Cities Mission.
Questioning the BJP’s credibility, the Chief Minister asked why the party should be elected when its MPs were unable to secure development funds for Telangana. He asserted that local development did not require approval from New Delhi for every minor work.
Revanth Reddy claimed that the Congress government had provided 70,000 government jobs in the last two years and argued that development was possible only when Congress representatives were elected at the local level.
