Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy blamed the main opposition BRS for the legal hurdles delaying the recruitment process for government jobs, including the Group-1 exams. While job aspirants filed the cases, he tried to hold the BRS responsible for the same.
The Chief Minister delivered a politically charged speech after presenting Gurukul Awards to students from social welfare residential institutions at Babu Jagjivan Ram Bhavan here on Wednesday.
He went on to claim that the previous government did not issue a
single job notification in its 10-year rule, while taking credit for distributing appointment letters for over 60,000 government jobs within a year — interestingly, for which exams were held during the BRS regime.
He accused the previous government of depriving marginalised students of quality education and employment opportunities and, instead, pushing them into caste-based professions by distributing sheep, cattle, and fish instead of creating jobs. He urged students to hold opposition parties responsible for lost job opportunities.
