TPCC president A Revanth Reddy charged that the government had in fact brought agrarian crisis in the State since 2014. He said the Congress government in Chhattisgarh was doing much better job in the agriculture sector compared to Telangana or other States. He also offered to take a delegation of Telangana Ministers for a comparative study.

Addressing mediapersons here on Tuesday, the TPCC president said he was ready for a challenge posed by Industries Minister KT Rama Rao for a debate on the issue. “TRS government did nothing in the last seven years, when compared to what Congress government did for the farmers from 2004-2014,”

Revanth Reddy said. Several major, medium and minor

irrigation projects were completed and upgraded to bring lakhs of acres of land under cultivation. The concept of free power for agriculture sector was also introduced by the Congress party, he said.

Meanwhile, Sangareddy MLA T Jagga Reddy sought appointment of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday to discuss different issues, including farm loan waiver. “If the Chief Minister does not give appointment, I will stage protest at Pragathi Bhavan on the same day,” said Jagga Reddy while addressing mediapersons here. He demanded the State government to regularise all the flats in illegal layouts in different gram panchayats under HMDA limits through LRS and BRS.
