Residents demand permanent solution 'Putlibowli potholes fix'

Following a novel protest by a man over the poor condition of a road at Putlibowli, civic authorities swiftly took up repair work on Tuesday.

However, local residents are unhappy with the patchwork and have demanded that the authorities lay a cement concrete (CC) road to provide a permanent solution.

The protest by Feroz was highlighted in media on Monday and Tuesday. Upset over potholes on



the road, Feroz had squatted in the middle of the road on Sunday night to draw the authorities’ attention to the issue. A video of his protest was also widely shared on social media.

Though the authorities subsequently repaired the damaged stretch, residents said the temporary works may not withstand the movement of heavy vehicles and the rains. They fear that potholes could reappear after a couple of spells of rain.
