Remand prisoner died due to heart stroke in Jagtial

A remand prisoner, Kothwal Krishna (43), died of a heart stroke in Jagtial on Monday.

A native of Nirmal district, Krishna had been remanded to the Jagtial sub jail in connection with a cybercrime case.

At



around 8 am, he developed chest pain. Jail staff immediately shifted him to the Jagtial Government Hospital, where he breathed his last while undergoing treatment.

Jail officials have initiated an inquiry into the death of the remand prisoner.
